I don't listen to or read any news after lunch, and that has been a key to more relaxing evenings. I'm also pretty much with you on the screen time before bed. I would love to read an hour in bed, but usually fall asleep way before!

Hi Betty - that is a great plan that I think I need to implement. No news after lunch. Adopting it immediately. Thanks for reading and for sharing this.

It’s great! I have a funnel-down approach to Monday-Friday: in the morning, I read some national and international news, including some US political news, from newspapers I subscribe and other sources. At lunch, my husband and I listen to 15-20 minutes of news on France Inter, which of course can be stress-inducing depending on the day, but not as overwhelming as scouring Internet. After lunch, I read my local paper, which I gave an ode to in my last post. Then I’m done as far as anything intentional.

Weekends are less structured. I might spend more time reading news in the morning, but skip the lunchtime dose totally.
