No joke, I woke up this morning thinking about you and when I opened my email, your latest Substack was in my inbox and I got the biggest smile on my face. I think of our 24 hours in Milan often and *very* fondly. You were the ideal host! We absolutely will have another in-person meet up in the future! Hopefully many, many more over the years to come. I am thrilled for you that you won't be returning to the US anytime soon and I can't wait to hear what is ahead. Sending you so much love and peace, my friend. 🥰
Such a gift to be able to connect in person and explore a place we both love so much. Truly one of my "most thankful" moments in 2024. Sending you lots of love and peace and abundance.
I have become a newly digital nomad just in the states and I’m having trouble getting continuity in healthcare. How on earth do you do it jumping from country to country? For example, I took a spill on some ice this weekend and tried to see a neurologist just to check everything out, only to find no one will see me without a referral and on a temporary basis. I am not interested in spending chunks of my life in the ER so I will let it go. I so commend your lifestyle and resilience—you are my hero!
Hi Beth - Oof. I am so sorry to hear that you took a spill - how are you feeling? And that you could not get someone to see you (makes my blood boil). I can honestly say that the US is the most stressful and convoluted (on purpose) "healthcare" to contend with. When I was in Santa Barbara two years ago I had an injury where my knee swelled up and was so painful I couldn't stand. I went to a facility that I think was local to that area that was an urgent care. I had insurance BUT they didn't take it of course however they had a flat fee cost and I had some of the best care I've ever gotten. Did you try Zoom care? I'm not sure where you are and if its available. Ugh. Thanks so much for reading and your kind words. Please message me anytime if you have questions or just want to chat.

I remember your time in the 12me in Paris, right near where my daughter used to live. Best wishes for 2025!
Thank you Betty! Wishing you a wonderful 2025 as well. I look forward to following your adventures.
We have got to make a real life meet-up happen in 2025!
Yessss. We do!
